Ordered this on the strength of the reviews here, and it meets all expectations (appears to be sturdy enough to be fire/waterproof, but as reviewers have said, kind of hard to test that). But though perfectly happy with the actual product, Amazon's packaging leaves something to be desired (it arrived with top corner completely crushed in, when it was dropped even the plastic casing was fractured). Re-reading many of the Honeywell and SentrySafe reviews, I've just noticed that many customers have also received damaged safes. I'm sending this back to Amazon and will instead buy one from the local Lowe's. Amazon has to pack heavy items more securely.

I just bought the HHT-080. I moved into a apt share where the last roommate had a cat. I liked that the unit had both HEPA and ionic. I thought I'd comment on the "noisy" complaints I've read about. Low and medium is not noisy at all... not more than a fan at worst. The high setting is louder, but not any more noisy than an AC window unit. No rattles either. Unit seems stable and level. This safe is mainly made of plastic, but the combination lock, 4 locking bolts and the internal gears (sounds like) are heavy-duty metal. There is a generous amount of room inside, unless you have a great deal of papers and other valuables to protect. I tried following the directions to open the safe door via the dial, but I could not until I found some better directions further back in the manual. I was able to open the safe. I memorized the combination, then practiced over and over again. After 1 day, I was able to open the safe every time, by memory. I can get into the safe, using the dial, in about 20 seconds. Read the directions. I would only use the keys in an emergency. If you do not learn how to use the combination and you should lose the keys, you will be locked out. Learn the combination and put the keys in a safe place away from the safe, not in the safe by any means.
